A Little Late...

Here is a pic of the girl on her first day of Kindergarten. At her school, they have the parents come and stay for the first day (it was only 2 hours long) Her first "alone" day will be on Tuesday. She'll even ride the bus to daycare afterwards since I'm working. Another boy in her class is also riding the bus there, so I think she'll be OK!

Look into my eyes

Another random post, but I was uploading pictures, and this one of our cat "Blinky" (yes - the one eyed cat is named Blinky) and it made me laugh

"Look into my WILL fill my food bowl now..."

I really should be cleaning right now...but typing is much more fun! =)

Phew - I went about 2 weeks without the internet..and very limited TV while we were moving. On the plus side, the apartment is pretty much empty and cleaned and we are now in the house.

Anyway, I was goofing around with the camera at the end of the day, and I noticed this hair seemed very "90s"

Especially the in honor of this rad hairdo, here's a nice 1990s song to match my coif!

Picking up more stuff

My typing music - saw these guys last year ( or was it 2yrs ago) at the Key in Seattle...and they were GREAT!

Anyway - David is driving back to the West side tonight to pick up some of the last items back at our house there.

We haven't had very many showings of our house. The market over there is Extremely slow and competitive. I wouldn't be surprised if we still have that house 4-6 months from now. I'm not going to worry about it though - I've become a great believer in allowing everything to work itself out. There is no point in stressing over something I cannot change.

Whoo Hoo!

Well, it was a painful process this time around - but we closed on our house yesterday! WhooHoo

For those of you who know Kenn, it is over by HHH Middle School (near Vancouver). It had been vacant for a few months and is in need of some serious repair...but that is what David wanted. Luckily, it is the shabbiest house on the block, so once we fix it up, we should increase the value quite a bit. It is also HUGE (at least to me) - it is about 2400 sf. After living in this apartment for 6 months, I wonder how long it will take us to fill up the house.

David went over to work on the yard tonight. He called and told me the police had left a summons on the door. Apparently, there is some sort of "Yard Maintanence" law and since it had been vacant, the previous owner had been in violation of that. They were supposed to have it fixed up by the 23rd of July, or they were going to have to appear before the County Commissioners (or something like that).

I'm glad there are some laws that keep your neighbors from dumping old cars on their lawn - but I think there is a better use of Police time than issuing violations for some tall weeds. - Chell

What am I listening to as I post?
